Micro Mosquito RC Helicopter
Reviewed by Angie Kibiloski

We all remember playing with remote control cars as kids, some of us might have even had remote control boats, but what about a remote control helicopter? How much more exciting would it be to pilot a miniature aircraft around the room? Well, Interactive Toy Concepts brings that excitement to you with their Micro Mosquito RC Helicopter (Retail $69.99 in the US at Radio Shack), from their Blade Runner Series of remote control helicopters. This tiny toy, somewhat resembling a mechanical mosquito, is small enough to be flown inside, durable enough to withstand your first unsteady flights, and easy enough to master in a relatively short time.
The Micro Mosquito weighs in at only 1.7 oz, and measures 8.7" in length. The 3 channel remote control allows your helicopter to fly in all directions, up/down, forward/back, left/right, and has a 30 ft control radius. It takes about 30 minutes to charge completely, and the charge will last for about 7 minutes of flight. Charging is easy with the docking station, which looks like a little landing pad. You will need to provide your own 9V and C batteries, or AC adapter cable. The colored lights let you know when the little flier is ready to go.
The Micro Mosquito requires several flights for you to become proficient, so you need a little patience, but once you have learned the controls and mastered some finesse in handling them, this helicopter is so much fun. With the open body design you can see how the rotors are moving and really have a cool flying experience. This product is perfect for home, office, playroom, or any other place you wish to have fun. Recommended ages are 12 and up. It may be time that you traded in those old boring RC cars for a new treat that fits in the palm of your hand, the Micro Mosquito RC Helicopter from Interactive Toy Concepts and Radio Shack.
