In Agatha Christie: Murder on the Orient Express (Retail $29.99), The Adventure Company will send you on a ride aboard the infamous train, and into a plot of murder, deception, and intrigue. As Antoinette Marceau, a new character introduced to aid Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, you must use all your deductive skills to solve the murder that has been committed. Come aboard and enter into one of the classic murder mysteries of our time.
This game puts a new twist on the old classic, and flings players into the world of Agatha Christie like never before. Inside the game box is an added bonus of the original Murder on the Orient Express novel, so that newcomers to the tale will be able to enjoy the work that inspired this new game. However, unlike the book, it is Antoinette, a worker for the train company, that investigates the crime, not Detective Poirot. And the ending of the game is different from the novel, so that even fans familiar with the story will get a nice surprising twist.

The majority of the game takes place on the train itself, with brief periods exploring the train stations and the snow covered wilderness, when the train is stopped by an avalanche. One of the passengers is murdered in his bed, and there is no doubt that the murderer remains aboard the train. It is up to you to search through all of the train cars, rifle through everyone's baggage, and question passengers and train employees alike to discover the culprit and their motive. Monsieur Poirot is there to advise you, but ultimately it is up to you to lead the investigation.

The décor of the train is lavish and beautiful, so you have lovely surroundings to look at as you deal with the gruesome case. The characters that you must interact with are varied and their unique personalities really shine through in their dialog. There are not a lot of puzzle type challenges, like cracking codes and the like, rather the majority of the action is looking for clues and interviewing suspects. The challenge is to put all of the clues together and solve the mystery of the murder. That is where your logic comes into play.

Whether you are an Agatha Christie fan from way back, or if you have never before heard of her work, Murder on the Orient Express will captivate your curiosity and have you keen to delve into the lives and possible motives of all the key players in this engrossing murder mystery. For one man it was the end of the line, but for you it is the first stop towards a fabulous detective career. Pack your bags and your thinking cap and come for a trip on one of the most famous trains in history.
